Thatchill, a 2021 Utah Valley Parade of Homes – Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice Award recipient, is a study in thoughtful design within a highly constrained site. Tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac, the property presented unique challenges—limited footprint, surrounding homes, and carefully framed views in multiple directions. The layout was strategically crafted to maximize every inch, capturing sightlines both to the front and rear of the home while preserving a strong sense of openness from the kitchen, the heart of the space. A grand staircase with a vaulted ceiling creates a dramatic vertical moment, while the basement is designed to accommodate family and guests with an abundance of built-in bunk spaces. Privacy was equally intentional, with the office set away from the main entry to create a quieter, more focused workspace. The result is a home that feels expansive, dynamic, and purpose-driven—despite its compact setting.
